The following enhancements are now available in the CAS API. All enhancements are automatically available to all CASs and participating programs using the CAS API. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or support.
GET Application Response Supports ExternalDocument Data
The CAS API GET Application response now supports ExternalDocument data, as long as the data is in text format and less than 1 MB. For binary data or text data greater than 1 MB, you should continue to use the GET Files APIs.
Subscription Expiration Extended to Two Years
The subscription expiration has been extended to two years; previously, it was limited to one year, which created issues when CAS cycles were longer than one year. The default subscription expiration is now two years as well.
New AlternateName Properties
The application response model now supports two new properties:
- alternateName.preferredFirstName
- alternateName.preferredMiddleName
