What is Transfer Success Pathway (TSP)?

This page applies to the CSU Transfer Planner Community College Portal.

Definition

The Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) program is a dual admission program where students enroll in an agreement with a California State University (CSU). This agreement guarantees a student admission into their chosen major once they have met all admission requirements. Using the CSU Transfer Planner Student Portal, students can find TSP-eligible programs at a CSU, enter an agreement, and continually track their progress toward a future transfer.

TSP Eligibility

Students are eligible for TSP if they are enrolling in a California Community College and have not earned any college credit since completing high school or earning a GED.

  • If they are taking college courses in the summer immediately following their high school graduation, that's okay—they're still eligible for TSP.
  • If they took dual enrollment coursework while in high school, that's okay—they're still eligible for TSP.

Visit CSU's Transfer Success Pathway website for more information on eligibility guidelines.

Timeline

Between August 1 and November 30 each year, students can search for and enroll in a TSP agreement with a TSP-eligible program in the CSU Transfer Planner Student Portal.
