Managing Tasks
Overview
The Tasks module allows you to create and manage tasks, or actions that need to be completed within the software. For example, you can assign a task to help streamline communication and workflows throughout the recruitment and admissions processes. You can also relate your tasks to Contact Records. For example, you can set a reminder for yourself to follow up with a student about a requirement they need to fulfill. Or, you can assign one of your colleagues the task of reaching out to one of your Contacts to confirm an appointment.
Creating a Task
- Using the Navigation Menu, click Tasks.
- Click the plus sign to create a new task.
- Select your desired assignee (this can be yourself).
- Select the due date for the task.
- Select if the status is Open (i.e., currently being worked on) or Complete.
- To associate the task with a Contact, click the plus sign under Target, then select Contact. Select the Student Contact Type, then search for the student. Note that the Application target does not apply for CSU Transfer Planner.
- If desired, add or create a Tag to help organize this task.
- Enter a description and provide the task details.
- Click Create.
