Navigating the Contact Grid

Overview

The Contacts section is where you can collect and view the data and activities of your students.

  1. Navigation Menu: use this menu to switch to different sections of the application. Click << to collapse the menu for a larger working area.
  2. Contact Type and Segment Drop-down: use this drop-down to filter the list by Segment.
  3. Search Icon: use this to search for contacts using their name, email address, phone number, city, zip code, or other contact information. Review Searching for Contacts for tips and best practices when performing searches.
  4. List View / Map View Toggle: use these icons to toggle between viewing contacts in a list or a spatial map.
  5. Filters: use this button to filter your contact list. For example, you can filter by address to isolate all contacts from a specific city.
  6. Add Contact Icon: click this icon to add an individual contact or to add contacts in batch using a CSV, JSON, or XML file.
  7. Contact Grid: click the desired column header to sort by that column. Use the checkboxes to select contacts to perform an action on. Click the checkbox at the top of the grid to select all the checkboxes.
  8. Grid Settings Icon: click this icon to edit the columns included in the contact list grid.

Viewing Contacts

Click any contact to view their summary page.

Applying Batch Actions to Selected Students

Use the checkboxes in the first column to select multiple students and apply an action.

  • Export: extract the contact's information.
  • Add Tags: add tags to help you more easily manage your pool.
  • Message: email the selected contacts.
  • Set Value: update a contact's field value.
  • Comment: add a comment to a contact's record.
