What is Transfer Success Pathway (TSP)?

Definition

The Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) is the process by which you can enter an agreement with a California State University (CSU) and a particular major for later transfer. In a TSP agreement, you must meet specific transfer requirements and are guaranteed admission to one CSU program. Using CSU Transfer Planner, you can find TSP-eligible programs at a CSU, enter an agreement, and continually track your progress toward a future transfer with them. You must complete your transfer within three years of your agreement start date.

As you progress through the TSP workflow, the Transfer Success Pathway Status tile on the dashboard will update with suggested next steps.

TSP Eligibility

You're eligible for TSP if you are enrolling in a California Community College and have not earned any college credit since completing high school or earning a GED.

  • If you are taking college courses in the summer immediately following your high school graduation, that's okay—you're still eligible for TSP.
  • If you took dual enrollment coursework while in high school, that's okay—you're still eligible for TSP.

Timeline

Between August 1 and November 30 each year, you can enroll in a TSP agreement with a TSP-eligible program. You must submit your TSP enrollment by November 30 at 11:59 PM PT.

Note that some programs may close by October 31; check with each of your programs to ensure that you are submitting your TSP enrollment by their deadline.
