Didactic Program in Dietetics Enrollment Status

Indicate if you are enrolled in, in progress toward, or have completed a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).

A DPD is an ACEND accredited program that provides the academic coursework required to apply to some DICAS programs. If you are unsure if you are, or were, in a DPD program, please contact your program director for clarification or search the ACEND accredited program directory.

If you select No, you cannot apply to programs that require a DPD Verification Statement or DPD Declaration of Intent.

If you have a Foreign Dietitian Education (FDE) Verification Statement, select Yes if you are applying to a program that requires a DPD Verification Statement or DPD Declaration of Intent.

Document Requirement

You must either have a Declaration of Intent or a Verification Statement to apply to a Dietetic Internship (DI) program.

A Declaration of Intent is a form completed by the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Program Director, indicating the timeline for completion of the DPD program by the applicant in order to complete program requirements and obtain a DPD Verification Statement.

A Verification Statement is a form completed by a dietetics Program Director, indicating that the student has successfully completed an ACEND-accredited dietetics program. This form is provided to the student at the completion of the dietetics program. Applicants with a Foreign Dietitian Education (FDE) Verification Statement should select Yes.

Indicate if you have either a DPD Verification Statement or Declaration of Intent. If you do not have one of these, you are not eligible to apply to a Dietetic Internship (DI) or any other program that requires one of these DPD documents. If you are unsure which document to select, please contact your program director.
