Why

Looking for a faster way to build, set up and modify your emails? Take our new Dynamic Email Editor out for test drive. This is a new feature in EMP that uses industry-standard tools for designing and managing emails.

Tailoring your emails has historically required HTML knowledge but the Dynamic Email Editor simplifies email design to put the power in your hands. This change also helps with training new staff who may have experience with common general email marketing programs because it uses similar design conventions. A new user to EMP may find this style particularly helpful.

If you’re a power EMP user who is well skilled in the current email development process, you don’t have to make any changes to how you do things. The Dynamic Email Editor feature is optional.

You can use the Dynamic Email Templates for blast, nurture, and event campaigns, email autoresponders, and record-outreach emails!

What​

The Dynamic Email Editor offers a new way to create and edit your emails. It will be available late May 2023.

Benefits and advantages include:

· Built-in templates including one- and two-column designs

· Ability to create a library of custom templates you can use across campaigns

· Quick creation of button-style links (no longer requiring design skills); you’ll be able to adjust button sizes, colors and fonts on the fly

· “Undo” tools for fast corrections

· Mobile preview tools (eliminating the need to send a test email to your phone)

· Improved image management capabilities – improved storage and access as well as built-in editing and cropping tools (so you don’t have to edit in a separate program)

 

How​

You can access the Dynamic Email Editor from your Outreach page by selecting the “Templates” drop down in the top right corner and selecting "New Dynamic Template".

From there, simply drag elements you’d like to include from the right hand menu to the working body of your email template. Add items like:

• Body copy (customizable by font size, colors, alignment etc.)

• Buttons (you don't have to use HTML to customize or build them anymore!)

• Create comments on certain parts of the template

• Section dividers

• Checklists

• Images

• Videos

• Social media links

There are three options to start your Dynamic Email Template out with:

• 2 Column: pre-populated content that mimics the look of the Classic Email Template

• Training Example: Pre-populated content that allows you to learn how to use all of the available widgets in the Dynamic Email Editor

• Empty: Use this if you want to start a template from scratch.

Have you ever struggled with creating and editing buttons in an EMP email? This is for you. You can now drag and drop a button into the template and easily re-arrange, design, and choose which link you want the button to direct to!​

Want to see how the email will look on Mobile versus Desktop? You can toggle between desktop and mobile design by selecting the appropriate icon to the left of the template body:

 

 

 

You have the ability to write comments about elements in the email template as well!

Do you want to be able to crop and edit images in EMP? Done! We have improved storage as well as built-in editing and cropping tools (so you don’t have to edit in a separate program). You can upload any photo type, import a photo in from an external source, or search for free photos to use.

Once you have uploaded your photos, you can edit them, and insert them into ANY Dynamic Email template in your EMP account!
