This GDPR feature is enabled by default for each CAS. It includes standard text and is displayed to the applicant upon creation of their account, or reapplication if they have previously created an account and we do not have an updated GDPR response. The GDPR question is only asked once upon account creation/first time login after re-application, and applicant can view their response via 'My Profile'. This must be configured as NOT editable post-submission.
Applicant View
The GDPR question can show up in 2 ways: The first is upon fresh account creation. The question will be at the bottom of the create account questionnaire. The other will be a pop up modal window if an applicant has an existing account, but the question has not been answered. This is mostly in the case of a reapplicant, or a returning applicant who chose not to use the reapply feature yet use the same credentials.
If an applicant selects 'Yes' to the European Union Data Protection question, the Privacy Notice will appear. The text shown in the screen shot below is the general text and can be customized by CAS.
If an applicant selects 'No' they will continue through the application.
Applicants have the ability to view their response by navigating to 'My Profile'.

As of February 2024, GDPR information will not flow into Outcomes as this is a Liaison-only requirement and does not impact CASs/clients.

We only do this with your express authorization and for the purposes of performing {CAS}. How we share your personal information We are based in the United States of America. Any personal information you provide is transmitted to, and stored in, the USA. We also transfer your personal information to: 1. Member institutions. Our members may be based in a variety of countries; when you choose to apply to a member institution in one of those countries, your data will be transferred to the member institution there.
