Regional Accreditation

The CAS has the option to view the 'Regional Accreditation' information in WebAdMIT. To be marked as a regionally accredited school, the school must be accredited by one of the agencies listed below. Accredited schools are marked in the platform back-end as accredited if they are on this list, which will display in WebAdMIT and on the PDF. 

• Higher Learning Commission, recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). 
• Middle States Commission on Higher Education, serving Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• New England Association of Schools and Colleges, serving Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
• North Central Association of Colleges and Schools: This accrediting body was dissolved in 2014. Here's the info from Wikipedia: The organization was dissolved in 2014. The primary and secondary education accreditation functions of the association have been merged into AdvancED with the postsecondary education accreditation functions vested in the Higher Learning Commission.
• Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, serving Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
• Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
• Western Association of Schools and Colleges, serving California, Hawaii, Guam, and American Samoa.
