Institution User Quick Start Guide

What is the Institution User role within WebAdMIT?

The Institution User access for WebAdMIT is typically used by UniCAS clients who also participate in Liaison's national CASs (e.g., ADEA AADSAS, PTCAS, SOPHAS, etc.). While each CAS customizes its application questions, typically there are commonalities across the UniCAS and national CASs' questions, such as demographic information, colleges attended, standardized test scores, etc.

Institution users can only query and export on the standard questions a CAS uses in the core application (i.e., Personal Information, Academic History, and Supporting Information). You cannot access CAS-custom questions (e.g., a gender identity question custom-built for a CAS) nor program-custom data (e.g., anything requested in the Program Materials section of the application). By using the Institution User account, you can gather and extract in bulk applicant data for any CAS affiliated with your institution; this allows for streamlining data exports and reduced effort in creating and maintaining export templates across many CASs,

Finally, be aware that institution users access applicant data for all cycles that the institution has participated in a UniCAS/national CAS. For this reason, we recommend that you apply CAS and cycle-specific filters in your lists and exports so that you can quickly identify which CASs and cycles your applicants have applied to.

If you're a WebAdMIT admissions user with the Institution Manager role, visit the WebAdMIT Help Center instead.
