The WebAdMIT to TargetX Integration is a batch data integration process that uses Informatica's ETL capabilities. WebAdMIT's Export Manager and PDF Manager export CSV and PDF files to an SFTP, where Informatica picks them up and applies transformations to match the data to TargetX fields.
To begin setting up the WebAdMIT to TargetX integration, your program configuration must be complete and at least one program must be active. You can set up the integration against the CAS prelaunch (test) environment before deploying it for live applications from the production environment.
TargetX must be configured and ready for use.
Create the data and PDF exports in WebAMIT that include all the data and documents required for mapping in Informatica.
Create the connections and mapping tasks necessary to load data and documents into TargetX.
Test the integration in the sandbox environment to ensure that it's producing records that support the business processes you intend to perform in TargetX.
Once the integration has been approved in sandbox, copy the WebAdMIT exports and Informatica tasks for use in the production environment.
With the integration up and running, it's important to establish a backup plan in case any element doesn't behave as expected. In short, plan out how to keep critical business processes running in case of any contingency. It’s also important to plan how to recover from unexpected interruptions.
With each new admissions cycle in CAS, the exports in WebAdMIT will need to be rolled over into the new cycle. You will need to consider regular maintenance items, CAS-level changes, program-level changes, and business process changes as you determine how to update your import templates for the new cycle.
Data integration services are included with Premier Services for TargetX. The Integration team will handle the integration, then once it is complete the Premier Services team will help maintain.
