Planning Your Integration
See our Planning for Data Integration documentation for guidance and best practices when mapping out your integration.
How Long Will It Take?
A conservative estimate for the data integration project duration is three months. Each institution’s data ecosystem and CAS situation are different, so the work involved in building a data integration can vary. Your workload over the academic cycle can also add more variability to the project timeline. With a dedicated team, it’s possible to build data integration much faster.
Things to Consider During Your Planning Stage
Here are some questions to consider when planning your integration:
- At what stage(s) do you want data and documents from WebAdMIT?
- Do you want to import SSN to TargetX?
- How should In Progress applications be imported? (i.e, inquiry, unsubmitted application, or both?)
- What data needs to be imported to TargetX? (Download the Data Dictionary via WebAdMIT to view available data and documents.)
- Consider:
- What is required to create and review applications in TargetX?
- What is needed for decision letters?
- What is required to create records in SIS?
- How many schools and test scores (both official, if applicable, and unofficial) need to be mapped?
