Downstream Considerations

Data integrations exist to support business processes. When CAS applications are moved into TargetX, there are several considerations unique to your business process that you’ll need to keep in mind to ensure your staff can do the work they need to do. The topics below are common downstream considerations that warrant your attention.

References/Letters of Recommendations

If the references are requested at the program-level, you may attach the references directly to the application.

If the references are requested at the CAS-level, you may also attach the references to the contact-level; however, the Informatica task will need to include an application look-up step to find the appropriate application.

Emails

We recommend testing the lifecycle of an applicant to identify emails that may need to be updated.

Race & Ethnicity for Foreign Nationals

CAS asks optional questions to all applicants regarding their race and ethnicity, regardless of citizenship status. This may be a change to your data if you previously only asked for this information of US citizens and permanent residents.

Application Materials for Application Review

Documents submitted at the CAS-level may require additional configuration in Informatica to attach to the application in TargetX. Review the document attachments in TargetX to ensure that the appropriate materials are available for application review. The Informatica task will need to include an application look-up step to find the appropriate application.

Application Checklist

If documents/data from CAS will be fulfilling checklist items, ensure that the appropriate mappings are complete in Informatica.
