Customize Your Profile
Overview
The Living Profile section allows you to control how your profile is presented to different audiences. You can choose which information is visible, creating a tailored experience for advisors, employers, residency programs, internship coordinators, or other viewers.
Editing Your Profile Settings
Use Edit Settings to customize how your profile appears to others.
- Details: personalize your profile by adding a brief biography and updating your profile photo and background image.
- Visibility: control what information is displayed on your profile by turning individual data points on or off. For example, you can choose to share colleges you've attended and achievements you've earned while keeping other details, like standardized test information private.
Creating Multiple Profiles
You can create multiple profile views tailored to different audiences.
To create a new profile, click the three-dot menu and click Create New.
Each profile can highlight different information based on your goals. For example, you might create one profile focused on academic achievements for graduate programs and another that emphasizes work experience and skills for potential employers.
Sharing Your Profile
Each profile you create has its own unique shareable link, making it easy to share the most relevant version of your profile with the right audience.
If you have multiple profiles, select the profile you want to share from the drop-down menu. Then, click Share and copy the generated link. Anyone with that link will be able to view the specific profile you selected.
You can update the information displayed in a shared profile at any time, even after you've shared the profile link with others.
For example, if you share a profile link with an advisor that includes your work experience, but later decide you no longer want that informaiton to be visible, you canupdate the profile's Visibility settings and turn off the Experiences section. Anyone with that profile link will see the updated version of the profile and will no longer have access to the information you chose to hide.
This gives you ongoing control over what information is shared and ensures your pfoeile always reflects the content you want others to see.
