Navigating Othot
Navigation Menu
You can access the Navigation Menu from any page to navigate to the following:
- Monitor: select, view, and create dashboards or snapshots in time using signals to monitor your institution's progress and predictions.
- Analyze: simulate the impact of decisions by filtering populations, accessing individual students, and running prescriptive reports.
- Strategize: use the guided workflow option to complete common tasks like identifying at-risk students, simulating appeals, analyzing financial aid impacts, and planning upcoming travel.
- Reference: view explanations of the performance of your models and the variables that contribute to your institution-specific models.
- Data: view the data files being used for your predictions and share files with your team and the Othot team.
Tabs in the Navigation menu allow you to do the following:
- Notifications: view status updates.
- Get Help: access the help center and submit a support ticket or feature request.
- Settings: manage user permissions and security, create user groups, variable groupings, dashboard tags, dashboard filters, and goals. This tab is available to administrators only.
- Profile: manage your personal security and display preferences.
Navigating the View Section
The View section of the Analyze page is where users spend the most time. The three key areas are as follows:
- Column Manager: customize the fields, filters, and formatting of the data in the grid.
- Visualizations and Prediction Overview: cycle through various charts to best visualize your prediction.
- The Grid: view predictions and information for each individual. Click a row to open a more detailed set of individual-level metrics.
