Introduction
Othot is pleased to announced release 2021.3 of the Othot Platform. The release adds a variety of new features and enhancements, as well as significant improvements to overall performance and predictive capabilities.
New Features
Refining the experience and increasing the ease of getting to insights is a focus of each release. Many of the new features added are suggestions or feedback from our Partners and valuable for our entire community.
Pivot
Pivot is a relatively new feature to the Platform and has received significant traction among users. Based on user feedback, we added some new features to Pivot.
- Pivot Chart
Dynamic graphs can be populated within the Pivot feature to help you visualize the data configured within your table. Select between various chart types and export to JPEG for simple sharing with your team. - Multi-Year Pivot
Select more than one year of data to understand better how your key metrics compare versus history. You can more easily understand how different subgroups are performing year over year.
Waterfall Impact Values
The Waterfall visualization helps you uncover which variables are positively or negatively impacting predicted enrollment or retention. By hovering the cursor over a variable in the Waterfall, a more detailed tool-tip shows the impact of specific values. This will save you tie when trying to understand what's behind the total impact of the variable. You can easily see what values are driving the impact up or down.
Custom Dashboard Filters
Choose which variables can be used to filter charts in your Dashboards in the new user interface that has been added for Administrator-level users.
Custom Grouping Buckets
Choose the ranges of grouped values for variables, like GPA or Expected Family Contribution, to be applied in Pivot, Matrix, and Sensitivity in the new user interface that has been added for Administrator-level users.
Matrix Results Delta
In addition to the Current and new What-If predicted results, a completed Matrix now shows the difference, or Delta, between the two values. This enables you to quickly see the improvements or tradeoffs with a potential financial aid strategy.
Survey
Othot has partnered with RNL to enhance their survey retention products. The same analytics platform used for our enrollment and Student Success offerings can now be able to provide fully integrated advanced analytics using RNL's existing survey data.

Bug Fixes
Adding enhancements occasionally results in the introduction of software bugs. Our team has fixed as many issues as possible and gives top priority to user-reported problems. Here is a list of the more notable items addressed:
- Goal widget not deleting
- Subpopulation Scenario not providing proper predictions
Next Release
