CAS API Enhancements
The following enhancements are now available in the CAS API. All enhancements are automatically available to all CASs and participating programs using the CAS API. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or support.
Check Destination Health Before Creating a Subscription
Starting in 2022 Release 10, when you post a subscription through the CAS Subscription API, the API will send an empty, auto-generated test file to the destination system before the subscription is created to confirm that the destination system is correctly set up (i.e., a “health check”). This enhancement prevents the API from attempting to access an unreachable or misconfigured destination and alerts you to errors in the destination setup.
The test file name replaces any integer-based tokens with 0 and string-based tokens with TEST. For example:
- Path template: CAS_pers_<casApplicantId>__<documentSubType>__<fileId>!<deliveredDate>.pdf
- Test file: CAS_pers_0__TEST__0!2022-10-04_16:00:00.pdf
Certifications and Observation Hours Document Subtypes
The CAS Subscription APIs now support the Certifications and Observation Hours document subtypes:
This enhancement allows you to capture more information for these documents through the API.
New Program-selected Properties for the GET Applicants API
The GET Applicants (list) endpoints now return the following program-selected properties, under the selectedPrograms child node:
- Program level
- Program concentration
- Program submitted date
For more information, visit the CAS API technical reference page.
Configuration Portal Enhancements
Configure Show Document Question Rule with Organization-level Questions
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
You can use organization-level questions, which are questions shared by all programs in your organization and that applicants only need to complete once, when configuring the Show Document Question Rule. This enhancement allows you to further customize your program document requirements for individual applicants.
TargetX Enhancements
The TargetX release notes were published on Thursday, November 3. You can access them in the User Community.
Time2Track Enhancements
The following enhancements are now available in Compact2Learn, MyInternshipJournal, and Time2Track. All enhancements are automatically available unless otherwise noted, and no action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or support.
Additional Fields in AAPI Student Submission Report
The AAPI Student Submission Report now includes the following fields:
- Date Applied
- APPIC Member Number
- Accreditation Status
This enhancement ensures that Directors of Clinical Training (DCTs) can extract more information about AAPI applicants and their applications.
Upgrade AWS Servers
To improve overall performance, several of our databases and servers have been upgraded to a more recent version of AWS.
WebAdMIT Enhancements
Retire WebAdMIT's Old User Interface
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
WebAdMIT’s old user interface is now retired, and all users have been automatically switched to the new user interface, which launched in 2017 Sprint 12. This update provides a more modern interface with easier-to-use navigation. All WebAdMIT functionality remains the same.
PDF Download Behavior Changed in WebAdMIT
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
WebAdMIT now opens PDFs in a new browser tab, instead of placing them into your device's download folder. This enhancement gives quicker access to PDFs in WebAdMIT, improves their readability, and reduces data security risks related to storing applicant data on your device.
Note the following:
- This enhancement does not override your browser settings. You can choose in your browser settings to download PDFs instead.
- Document types other than PDF (e.g., .doc, .csv, .xls, .zip, etc.) in the Applicant Details page, Export Manager, PDF Manager, and Report Manager will continue to download to your computer.
This enhancement was inspired by user feedback.
Update Order of Users on Search Page
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
User information on the Admissions Users page is now sorted in the following order:
- Users are alphabetized by email address, then
- User’s most recent cycle is listed first, then
- User’s CASs are alphabetized, then
- User’s organizations are alphabetized.
This new sort order allows you to more easily scan through and identify a user’s access to your CASs and cycles.
This enhancement was inspired by user feedback.
User Type Filter for Association Users
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
Association users can now filter by User Type on the Admissions User page. This enhancement allows you to run more focused search queries.
This enhancement was inspired by user feedback.

Shared Lookup Table Updates for Spring 2023 |
March 6, 2023 |
Many fields in the Applicant Portal contain predefined answer values that applicants can select; for example, the Country and County fields both have predefined answer values. These values are housed in shared "lookup tables" which are viewable in your CAS's/UniCAS's data dictionary (located under the Help panel in WebAdMIT). Lookup table change requests should be sent to your Account Manager, who will compile and review these requests prior to inclusion in the next lookup table update taking place this fall. The deadline to submit change requests was November 1, 2022. New lookup table values will appear in the Applicant Portal on March 6, 2023 (subject to change). You can view the upcoming lookup value changes on the Shared Lookup Table Updates for Spring 2023 page. |
