For each application cycle, you'll need to obtain an individual access link from your degree-granted medical school.
- US fourth-year students and graduates (MD or DO): contact your medical school of graduation.
- Canadian medical graduates: contact CaRMS.
- International medical graduates (IMGs): contact ECFMG.
Once you have your access link, you can copy forward your application data from the previous cycle.
- Log in to the application. A welcome screen appears; confirm you want to begin the re-application process by clicking Start Reapplication.
- Click the checkbox to confirm that you want to copy your previous application. After you click Confirm, you cannot start over with a new, blank application.
- Select the information you want to carry over. Unselected items will not carry over and cannot be recovered, so ensure your selections are complete before proceeding.
- Click the checkbox to confirm your selections and your understanding that this action cannot be undone. Then, click Continue.
- Your selected data will begin copying to your new application. This usually takes a few minutes to complete, but can be up to 30 minutes. You will receive an email once the application is ready. If it is taking longer than 30 minutes, log out and log back in to check your application status.
Once your application is successfully copied, you must review every copied section and confirm the data is accurate. You can make updates if necessary.
