Working with the Reporting Dashboard
Overview
The reporting dashboard is the landing page when you log in to the Medical School Portal. You can also access it by clicking the logo in the top-left. The dashboard provides three at-a-glance reports to help you monitor applicants and their submitted applications.
- Missing Application Materials: review applicants who are missing critical application materials, including USMLE/COMLEX scores, letters of recommendation, Medical Student Performance Evaluations, and medical school transcripts. Applicants can appear in multiple categories if they’re missing more than one item. To exclude categories that aren’t relevant, such as USMLE scores for DO students or COMLEX scores for MD students, click the corresponding category on the right.

- Applications by Interview Status: monitor the interview status of applicants’ submitted applications.
- Number of Applications Submitted: view the number of applications each applicant has submitted.
Note: reports only include submitted applications. For instance, if an applicant has chosen 30 programs, but has only applied to 10, only those 10 submitted applications will be included in the reports. Applications that are still in progress aren’t reflected in reporting, and applicants who haven’t submitted any applications won’t appear.
Interacting with Reports
Use the List and Specialty drop-down menus to filter the applicants included in the reports.
To open a report, click anywhere on the report header. To export the report as an Excel file, click the download icon on the right side of the report header.

Within a report, click a value and select View Filtered List to review the applicants represented by that value.

For the Applications by Interview Status report, you can further refine the applicant list by applying additional filters, similar to creating a list in the List Manager. To save the customized list, click Actions, then select Create New Field List.
