The May ’26 TargetX Online Application package is now available. This upgrade is required for clients using Application Snapshot functionality due to updated Salesforce security requirements for connected apps. The previous version will continue to run in parallel through June 12, 2026, following a granted extension. To avoid disruption, clients using Application Snapshots must complete the upgrade before this June 12, 2026.
We have also received an extension for the Events Offline Check -in iOS application. Because of this, we expect that the app will continue to function as we work to update the app and make it available in the Apple App Store. Our hope is that the updated app will be available by mid-June, pending final testing and App Store security review.
As a reminder, the May Decision package was released on Monday, May 11, and needs to be updated immediately if you are using Asynchronous App Review functionality. Synchronus reviews remain available without upgrading.

As we continue to work to address the required updates for Salesforce Connected Apps, we want to share an update on important changes and key dates for your team.
The Email backend update is scheduled to begin at noon Eastern tomorrow, May 9. We anticipate minimal downtime and will have team members on call should any issues arise. Our teams will continue to monitor through the weekend. If you experience any unexpected issues, please put in a case and call 888-812-7280 – press extension 7 for the after-hours answering service, who will be able to contact a team member to return your call.
If you have critical or time sensitive emails that are scheduled for Saturday, we recommend sending them prior to noon Eastern.
We expect all May packages to be made available to clients at 1pm Eastern on Monday, May 11, with the exception of the Online Application. If you use asynchronous Application Review PDF Caching, you will need to upgrade the Decision package promptly. We recommend you install and test in a sandbox prior to upgrading your production instance.
The Online Application package is pending Salesforce security review, and will be made available as soon as possible.

TX Apps are planned to be updated Monday at noon as well – you may need to reauthenticate TX SMS and/or TX Print by re-entering your username and password after this update.

For the TargetX May 2026 release, all updates have completed development and testing as planned. However, through recent communication by Salesforce, urgent changes to Connect Apps require additional updates necessary for specific TargetX solutions.
We are working directly with Salesforce to determine the impact and necessary updates to our packages and backend services. Through initial investigation and review, we determined the following updates will be required:
Email backend changes that will require us to update OAuth for each customer.
This will require a maintenance window for both Email and Communication Planner.
An updated Decision package which will be a required upgrade for customers who use the App Review PDF cache feature.
An updated Online Application package, which will require an upgrade for customers who use the Online App PDF snapshot feature.
An updated Offline Event Check In app, requiring an upgrade for customers who leverage this functionality.
TX Apps (SMS, Print, Insights) will need to be re-authenticated for your instance. Our team is evaluating and working through each of these required updates, and we will continue to share information, especially target resolution timing, as available. As we determine finalized timing for these updates, we will send an update by Monday, May 4th.
