Installing Address Plus
Installing Address Plus
Address Plus is a package used to update address information based on the zip code of a record. When Contact, Lead and Account records are created and/or updated, triggers run to update the City, State, County and EPS code based on the record's zip code.
Updating Records Based on Matching Zip Codes
As part of the package, a Zip Code object [Address Plus] is installed. Individual Zip Code records can be loaded in using the delivered file. Each record contains a zip code and the corresponding city, state, county, and EPS code.
When a Contact, Lead or Account record is created or updated, the zip code on the record is compared to the individual records on the Zip Code table. If an exact match to the zip code value is found, the corresponding data is updated on the record.
Installing Address Plus
To use Address Plus, you must first install the package and then load the zip code records into the Zip Code object. It is recommended to use the Salesforce DataLoader for this task. Once loaded, records will begin updating when exact matches are found.
Notes:
- Updates to the Zip Code table can be made manually or through an automated process. While a default file is provided by TargetX upon install, any changes or modifications must be maintained individually by clients.
- As this is an unmanaged package, you will want to export your zip code table prior to applying upgrades in the future. Once backed up, you can uninstall the package, install the newer version and re-import your zip codes.
To install the package and load the records, please follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Install Address Plus Package (version 1.2)
NOTE: As with all packages, we recommend installing and testing in a Sandbox environment before loading into Production.

Please download and save the files to your local machine and then use the Salesforce Data Loader to import them into the CRM.
