The TargetX Application Review Tool is a web-based platform designed to support the admissions application review process. Accessible through a browser login to Salesforce, it enables evaluators to review applicant materials and make decisions using a structured scoring system. The intuitive interface is optimized for ease of use and efficiency. Within Salesforce, the tool also allows for assigning applications to reviewers, configuring automated workflows, and setting up bookmarks, scores, and other key components to support a comprehensive evaluation process.
Note: The Application Review tool is not supported in Salesforce1.
The Application Reader is accessible through a web browser and provides a streamlined, web-based interface for reviewing applications. It allows users to read applicant materials, enter assessment data and notes, and make decisions on each application. Administrators are responsible for configuring key components of the Application Reader, including Review Types, Bookmarks, Scorecards, and Assignments.
Application Review Types define how different components of an application are presented to reviewers, helping to streamline and tailor the review process. For instance, if one group is responsible for evaluating essays and another for reviewing transcripts, you can configure distinct Review Types so each group only sees and scores the materials relevant to their role.
Application Reviews occur after Application Review Types (see above) have been configured, an Application is submitted, and Reviewers assigned. Using the Application Reader, the Reviewer can enter scores, add notes and enter a decision on the application. Application Reviews can be configured to move through a series of Reviewers. For example, after an application is initially reviewed and 'completed', the application can then be assigned to the next reviewer automatically using Flow. You can also assign Application Reviewers automatically if you prefer.
The Application Review Tool supports almost all file types, such as: .pdf, .txt, .doc, .docx, .bmp, .jpg, .dotm, .dotx, .docm, .png, .pptx, .rtf, .gif. However, .odt is currently NOT supported.
