Insights Enrollment Overview Dashboard

The Funnel shows the progress of your prospective student pool through the major stages of the admissions funnel for one term. The volume of prospective students at each stage is shown as the rate at which they convert from one stage to the next. The funnel volume for each stage counts distinct individuals based on their most advanced funnel stage for the selected term as per the definitions here:

• Prospects: Counts the number of distinct individuals with an Inquiry record of Prospect type.
• Inquiries: Counts the number of individuals with an Inquiry record of Inquiry type.
• Applicants: Counts the number of distinct individuals with an Application record with an Application Start Date (this stage includes Submitted Applications and Completed Applications).
• Admits: Counts the number of distinct individuals with an Application record with an Admission Decision value of 'Admit' and an Application Decision date.
• Confirmed: Counts the number of distinct individuals who have an Application record with an Application Confirm Date.
• Enrolled: Counts the number of distinct individuals who have an Application record with an Application Enroll Date.

Funnel volume is cumulative, including all previous funnel stages (i.e., if a student is counted as 'Admitted' based on their most advanced funnel stage, they will also be counted as an Applicant, Inquiry, and Prospect).

If a Contact record has multiple Inquiry or Application records for the same funnel stage for the selected term, the Contact will only be counted once. If a Contact has multiple child records across various stages, the Contact will be counted based on their most advanced funnel stage.

• Top Sources and Popular Programs provide a quick look at your top Sources and top Programs of interest.
  • Top Sources counts all Contact records with an associated Application record grouped by the Contact - Lead Source field. 
  • Popular Programs counts all Contact records grouped by the Contact - Program field.
• Percent Change displays the delta in each funnel category compared to the previous equivalent term. For example, if you're viewing Fall 2019, this chart will show the delta compared to Fall 2018. Cumulative percentages are based on the Contact - Student Stage field.
