Insights Student Demographics

• A map of the US shows which states applicants are coming from by volume. This counts all contact records grouped by the Contact - Mailing State field.
• The Domestic Students table displays which states applicants are coming from, with States sorted in descending order according to which states have the most applicants. This counts all contact records grouped by Contact - Mailing State field.
•  The International Students table ranks the volume of International applicants by country. This counts all Contact records grouped by Contact - Mailing Country.

Note: Any Values IN ('United States,' 'US,' 'United States of America,' 'USA') are excluded.

•  The Demographics section allows you to  view the breakdown of your applicants by key demographics displayed in pie Charts:
  • Student Type counts unique individuals and groups based on Student Type from the record associated with the most advanced funnel stage for the selected term (either Inquiry or Application record).
  • Ethnicity counts all Contact records grouped by Contact - IPEDS Ethnicities.

Note: Remember that the IPEDS Ethnicities field is a multi-picklist, so the grouping will be different; i.e., Asian is a different slice than Asian; White.

• Gender counts all contact records grouped by Contact - Gender.
