Documents

Use the Documents section to upload required and optional documents.

Be sure to proofread and review your documents before you submit the application. Once your application is submitted, you cannot re-upload, update, or edit the document in any way; however, you can upload new documents.

If you find an error after submission that you believe could affect the consideration of your application, we recommend sending a corrected version directly to your program(s).

Core Essays

In the Documents section, respond to the following essay questions and upload your response(s) in a document:

  • Please describe your short- and long-term goals post-MBA. How has your professional experience shaped these goals and influenced your decision to pursue an MBA degree?
  • Is there any other information you would like to share with us that is not presented elsewhere in your application?

The first essay is required and used for admission purposes only. It provides an opportunity for you to express your strengths, attributes, experiences, and other traits or abilities you believe are relevant to your educational goals and career objectives.

The second optional essay lets you bring additional information to the attention of the admissions committee. This may explain gaps in employment or shortcomings in your academic record, specific plans to retake the GMAT or GRE, or other relevant information.

Another example is if you answered Yes to any of the Academic Infraction, Criminal Charges, Convictions, or Pending Charges questions in the Other Information section. The optional essay is a chance to expand on the explanation to each of those questions (which are limited to 250 characters). You can use this optional essay to explain your circumstances in depth if needed.

Requirements

  • Keep your topic general: Follow the prompts in this section to write your statements. Keep the statements general as they are sent to all the programs you apply to. If you plan to only apply to one program, we still strongly recommend keeping your statements general in case you later apply to additional programs. Once you submit your application, the essays cannot be edited or changed.
  • Do not exceed the maximum length: You can see both the word and character count below the fields in the application. The right-hand number shows the maximum number of characters that you can use in your essay. As you type, you can see how many characters are still available and the associated word count. Characters include spaces, carriage returns, and punctuation. You cannot save your essay if it exceeds the character limit.
  • Use your own words: Plagiarizing any part of your essays is a violation of the code of conduct and may subject you to sanctions.
  • Use simple formatting: Formatting such as tabs, italics, multiple spaces, etc., will not be saved. To delineate paragraphs, type a double return between each paragraph.

Proofreading

Be sure to read over your essay several times to catch any spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc., errors before submitting. Once you submit your application, you cannot edit your essay. If you find an error after submission that you believe could have major effects on your application, we recommend sending a corrected copy directly to the programs you applied to.

Resume

Upload your resume in the Documents section. Both your programs and The Consortium will use your resume when evaluating your application. Be sure to include the most recent and relevant information in the final document you upload.

Standardized Test Score Reports

You can upload your unofficial, test-taker score reports. Note that you must still release your official test scores to The Consortium for your application to be considered complete.
