You should arrange to take the appropriate standardized exams several months prior to the admissions application deadline. You may submit unofficial scores while applying for admission; however, admitted students must submit official scores to enroll at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. You must submit official GRE scores if more than 25% of your undergraduate coursework is from a US institution with non-traditional grades. GRE general test scores cannot be more than five years old. Official GRE scores must be submitted directly to Graduate Division Student Services from Educational Testing Services (ETS) using GRE code 4867. Paper copies are not accepted.
Official GRE scores from ETS can be received by University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Graduate Division at any point during the application cycle, even after your application is submitted; however, some programs may have a deadline by which they want your scores received.
Note that ETS provides the GRE® Fee Reduction Program for individuals who can demonstrate financial need, for those who are unemployed and receiving unemployment compensation, and for national programs that work with underrepresented groups.
