Program Eligibility
Before selecting your programs, VMCAS strongly recommends that you review the requirements of each program and confirm you meet their admissions requirements. Specific criteria are available on the Veterinary Medical School Admission Requirements (VMSAR) page. If you have questions about your eligibility to apply to a program, contact the program directly. VMCAS cannot determine if you are eligible to apply to specific programs.
International Applicant Exceptions
Canadian Applicants
The following schools require that Canadian applicants contact the school directly to obtain an application in order to apply. These schools will not accept the VMCAS application from Canadian applicants.
- University of Guelph-Ontario Veterinary College (Canada)
- University of Prince Edward Island - Atlantic Veterinary College (Canada)
US applicants to these schools should submit the VMCAS application using the instructions contained in this Help Center.
Other International Applicants
The following schools require that international students contact the school directly to obtain an application in order to apply. These schools will not accept the VMCAS application from international applicants.
- Massey University (New Zealand)
- Royal Veterinary College (England)
- University College Dublin (Ireland)
- University of Edinburgh (Scotland)
- University of Glasgow (Scotland)
- University of Sydney (Australia)
US and Canadian applicants can either contact Massey University (New Zealand) to obtain an application or submit the VMCAS application using the instructions contained in this Help Center.
