Release 3 – April 7, 2019

About These Release Notes

This document provides a summary of the new features and enhancements available in Release 3. If you have any questions about these features, please contact your Account Manager.

New Features and Enhancements

Configuration Portal Enhancements

The following enhancement is available for the Configuration Portal as part of Release 3.

Multiple Choice Questions Configured with One Answer Option

This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.

You can now configure multiple choice questions to include only one answer option. This is helpful if you want to create confirmation statements or questions with only one possible answer (i.e., "I accept the above statement").

Applicant Gateway Enhancements

The following enhancement is available for the Applicant Gateway as part of Release 3.

    Copy Applicant Gateway Configurations

This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs using the Applicant Gateway feature and their participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.

You can now copy Applicant Gateway configurations, including branding and activities, from one program to another. This feature is only available for programs without existing or active Applicant Gateway configurations. If you choose to copy configurations into a program with inactive configurations, the inactive ones will be overwritten.

Once copied over, all Applicant Gateway configurations are set in draft mode and must be reviewed and approved before they are published.

WebAdMIT Enhancements

The following enhancements are available for WebAdMIT as part of Release 3.

    New Fields in Applicant Header

This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.

The following fields are now available in the Applicant Header Manager:

  • Citizenship Status
  • Holds Visa Status
    Professional Transcript Entry (PTE) Status

This enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the current cycle. If activated, this enhancement is available for all participating programs. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact your Account Manager for more information or to enable this feature.

You can now quickly identify if an applicant has chosen to use the Professional Transcript Entry (PTE) service, where a PTE specialist enters the applicant’s completed coursework for an additional fee. The PTE Status field appears for all applicants under the Applicant Header on the Applicant Details page; it won’t appear in the full application PDF. It can be used in the List Manager, Export Manager, and Email Templates as a merge field. The possible values for this field include:

  • TE-Awaiting Transcripts: the applicant has not submitted all required, official transcripts to the CAS.
  • TE-Ready for Work: the applicant is in queue to have their coursework entered by a PTE specialist.
  • TE-Pending Approval: the applicant must approve the entered coursework before their application is given a Complete date and placed in line for verification. Note that the applicant may have to meet additional CAS requirements, such as a minimum number of evaluations completed, before being given a Complete date.
  • TE-Approved: the applicant has approved the entered coursework.

If an applicant did not elect to use the PTE service, their PTE status is blank.

PDF Manager Templates Shared by Work Groups

This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs that share Lists and Exports by Work Groups, and their participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.

PDF Manager templates can now be shared with other users by Work Groups. All existing PDF Manager templates will automatically be shared with the WebAdMIT Administrators Work Group; you can edit your templates if you need to adjust these sharing rights. Additionally, you can copy PDF Manager templates that have been shared with you.
