Reviewing Applicants with Competing Offers and Shared Decisions
Overview
Several CASs offer Decision Code reports accessible under the Applicants panel in the Menu Bar. For applicants to appear in these reports, several items need to happen:
- You must report final Decision Codes on your applicants.
- Other programs within your CAS must report their final Decision Codes on applicants.
- Applicants must be in the same (or similar) Decision Codes for both your program and other programs.
These reports may be available throughout the cycle or only during a specific time; contact a member of your account team to learn more.
Competing Offers Made
This report displays applicants placed in the Offer Made Decision Code by you and other programs. It includes:

- If activated by the CAS, number of offers made, including your program (i.e., 2 Offers Made Count includes 1 Offer Made for your program and 1 Offer Made for another program)
Competing Offers Accepted
This report displays applicants placed in the Offer Accepted Decision Code by you and other programs. It includes:
- Applicant's name
- CAS ID
- If activated by the CAS, number of offers accepted, including your program (i.e., 2 Offers Accepted Count includes 1 Offer Accepted for your program and 1 Offer Accepted for another program)
If activated by your CAS, you may also view the other program names.
Shared Decisions
This report may have a different label, such as Matriculated Elsewhere. It displays applicants placed in specified, predefined Decision Codes by you and other programs. It includes:
- Applicant's name
- Decision Codes at your program and other programs
- If activated by the CAS, number of competing decisions, including your program (i.e., 2 Total Competing Decisions include 1 qualifying Decision Code for your program and 1 qualifying Decision Code for another program)
If activated by your CAS, you may also view the other program names.
Updating Applicants
If an applicant appears on one of these reports, you can contact them to learn which program they have selected and make any edits on your end. The applicant is responsible for notifying their programs of their decisions, and programs need to make those changes in WebAdMIT. Review the Reporting Final Decision Codes guide for more details.
Once you change the applicant's Decision Code in WebAdMIT, the reports will update immediately. You will need to re-click on the report or refresh your browser window for the updates to appear.
