UAT1 Environment Reference Guide

WebAdMIT for AMCAS UAT1 Environment

The WebAdMIT for AMCAS UAT1 Environment is a copy of the WebAdMIT production environment ("production") with obfuscated sensitive applicant data (e.g., surnames, email addresses, etc.). Since it's isolated from production, the UAT1 Environment is useful for testing and training purposes; any actions performed in this environment will have no effect on the live data in production. The applicant data that appears in the UAT1 Environment comes from the applicant data in the production environment, making the UAT1 Environment useful for schools that are live and accepting applications.

Logging in to the UAT1 Environment

To access the UAT1 Environment, you'll need to use your AAMC Staging account username and password. To log in for the first time:

  1. Create an AAMC Staging account.
  2. Have a WebAdMIT Administrator with access to the UAT1 environment create a WebAdMIT UAT1 account for you. If your institution doesn't have a WebAdMIT Administrator with access to the UAT1 environment, send an email containing your AAMC Staging account email address to Steve Goldbeck to request one.
  3. Once you've created both accounts, log in to https://aamc-uat1.webadmit.org/ to access the environment.

Keep in mind:

  • Production and UAT1 are two separate systems; if you change your AAMC password and want your passwords to be the same, be sure to change your AAMC Staging password as well.
  • If you forget your AAMC username or password, use the Forgot your username? or Forgot your password? links to regain access.

UAT1 Environment Deployment Window and Refresh Process

The UAT1 Environment is deployed between 9 AM and 1 PM ET every Monday (if Monday is a US or Canadian holiday, deployment is the next business day). This deployment includes all system changes from the preceding release.

Remember that all sensitive data in the UAT1 Environment is obfuscated. Additionally, because the UAT1 Environment is a copy of production, any bugs or related issues in production may also affect UAT1. Additionally, sprint enhancements and bug fixes that are deployed in production will also be deployed in UAT (generally within two days of deployment in production).

Security Protocols

The WebAdMIT for AMCAS UAT1 Environment often receives security patches for testing earlier than the production environment. If you are encountering any difficulty connecting to the UAT1 Environment especially via the API, but have no difficulty connecting with production, a security patch may be the issue. Contact WebAdMIT for AMCAS Support at aamcwebadmitsupport@liaisonedu.com if you are unable to resolve your issue.
