Update Your Self Study and Standards

Overview

In the Self Study tab, you can complete all the required standards for your program's accreditation. The Home subtab gives you a quick summary of the number of standards within each status. Once all standards are in the Ready for Submission status, you can submit your self study to the CAATE.

Note that you must be given permission to view and/or edit standards to view them in the Self Study tab.

Standards

The Standards subtab includes all the association standards for accreditation. You must complete each standard before you can submit your program for accreditation. Note that the association determines the standards; contact the association client with any questions.

Completing a Standard

Note that you must have access to edit standards to add information.

  1. Under the Standards subtab, click the standard number in the table or the standard name under the Standard Title column.

    Click a number in the Standard Summary table to quickly navigate to a standard
  2. Review the standard's description and instructions.
  3. Complete all other required fields. You must add a title and description for each document. Documents are limited to 50 MB per file.
  4. Click the Previous and Next buttons to save your responses.

You can click the Previous and Next buttons to access other standards.

Adding Notes

You can add notes to standards if you have any questions for the Program Director, association client, or Liaison administrator, or comments that you want to keep for yourself.

  1. Under the Standards subtab, click the standard number in the table or the standard name under the Standard Title column.
  2. In the right column, click:
    • Program/Association Q&A to write notes to your program users or association client in this panel. Note that only select users can access this panel, including Program Directors.
    • Admin Notes to write a note to your Program Director, association client, or Liaison administrator.
    • Private Notes to write a comment for yourself.
  3. Enter your note. Click Select users to alert to identify other users to your note. Be aware that users must have permission to read standards to appear in this list.
  4. Click Post.

Responding to Program and Association Questions

As Program Directors and association clients review your standards, they can pose questions to you for each standard. These questions are noted as alerts, which you can view within each standard.

  1. Under the Standards subtab, click the standard number in the table or the standard name under the Standard Title column.
  2. In the right column, click Program/Association Q&A.
  3. Review the question and enter your response.
  4. Click Reply.
