Standardized Tests

Self-Reported Test Scores

You can self-report your Standardized Test scores or report tests you plan to take in the Standardized Tests section. Some of the programs you apply to may require you to report certain test scores; be sure to check with your programs to ensure you are completing all requirements.

Note that self-reporting your scores is not the same as providing official scores to your programs. If your programs require official test scores, see Sending Official Test Scores for more information.

Self-Reported ADAT Results

All ADEA CAAPID programs have ADA ADAT requirements. If your programs require official ADAT results, see Official ADAT Scores

Self-Reported TOEFL Results

All ADEA CAAPID programs have ETS TOEFL requirements. You can self-report your test results from the ETS TOEFL for either internet-based (iBT) or paper-based tests in this section.

If your programs require official TOEFL results, see Official TOEFL Scores

Self-Reported NBDE Results

ADEA CAAPID collects both self-reported NBDE test results and official test results when requested by the applicant. Only official results from tests administered from 2012 to the present can be sent to ADEA CAAPID. Note that while ADEA CAAPID does not require NBDE tests results, many programs have NBDE requirements. For information about each program's requirements, refer to the ADEA CAAPID Directory.

NBDE Part I

If you completed the NBDE Part I before 2007, you must self-report your numerical scores in each of the following sections, as well as their reference numbers:

  • Anatomical Science (49-99)
  • Biochemistry/Physiology (49-99)
  • Microbiology/Pathology (49-99)
  • Dental Anatomy (49-99)
  • Average (49-99)

If the NBDE Part I was completed between 2007 and 2011, you must report your standard score (49-99) and the overall result (Pass/Fail).

If the NBDE Part I was completed in 2012 or later, you only need to report the overall result (Pass/Fail).

NBDE Part II

If you completed the NBDE Part II before 2012, you must self-report your average score (49-99). If the NBDE Part I was completed in 2012 or later, you only need to report the overall result (Pass/Fail).
