Setting Up the Connection to Slate

To establish the connection to Slate for the CAS API, you'll first need to create a service account that has access to the Slate SFTP, and whitelist several IP addresses. Folders need to be added to the Slate SFTP's /incoming/ directory to organize and control the incoming payloads from the CAS API. See below for more information.

Setting Up a Service User Account

To enable delivery of CAS application data and documents, establish a service user account. A service account will be added to your instance when you add the standard Source Formats from the Slate library. This account will have Slate SFTP access, and the following IP addresses will be automatically whitelisted to enable delivery by the CAS API:

  • Production
    • 12.130.14.3
  • Prelaunch
    • 35.196.40.74
    • 35.237.218.144
    • 35.237.169.192
    • 34.74.5.60
    • 35.185.121.56
    • 34.74.128.171
    • 104.196.102.47

It will be necessary to generate a new SFTP password for this account. Be sure to write down the SFTP username and password! You will need that information when subscribing to the CAS API. Visit the Slate Knowledge Base for more information on adding a user account.
