New Features and Enhancements

The following enhancements are now available in the CAS API. All enhancements are automatically available to all CASs and participating programs using the CAS API. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. If you have any questions about these features, contact your Account Manager or support

    Update External Documents

You can now use the CAS API to update an existing CAS-level ExternalDocument file, using the new PUT File endpoint.

    New Properties for Organization Code, API Version, and Response Level

The Program, Program Config, and Application APIs now include the following properties:

Program and Program Config API

  • orgCode: organization code

Application API

  • apiVersion: API version
  • responseLevel: response level

    Program Selected Event for CAS Subscription API

The CAS Subscription API now supports a new event, application.program.selected, which detects when a program is selected.

    New Document Subtype

The CAS API now supports document subtypes (e.g., CV/resume, writing sample, personal statement, etc.) for applicant-uploaded documents in the Applicant Portal and Applicant Gateway. documentSubType is included in the:

  • DIP file manifest as a header.
  • Subscription API path template as a token.
  • Application response as a new property.

    New Properties for Lookups API

The following properties were added to the Lookups API:

  • ISO CODE 2
  • ISO CODE 3
  • Sort Index
  • Value Abbreviation
