Release 4 – April 28, 2019
About These Release Notes
This document provides a summary of the new features and enhancements available in Release 4. If you have any questions about these features, please contact your Account Manager.
New Features and Enhancements
Applicant Portal Enhancements
The following enhancement is available for the Applicant Portal as part of Release 4.
Term Added to Programs on Submit Application Page
This enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the current cycle. If activated, this enhancement is available for all participating programs. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact your Account Manager for more information or to enable this feature.
The Submit Application page now lists the term on each program’s tile. Previously, applicants needed to click the additional information icon to view the program’s term.
Configuration Portal Enhancements
The following enhancements are available for the Configuration Portal as part of Release 4.
Support Organization- and Program-level Questions for Programs
This enhancement must be approved by the CAS association or UniCAS client for use in the current cycle. If activated, this enhancement is available for all participating programs. CAS association and UniCAS clients: contact your Account Manager for more information or to enable this feature.
You can now configure both organization- and program-level questions for your programs. This allows you to configure one set of questions that are asked by all programs in that organization for the CAS and cycle, and another set of questions that are asked by individual programs, as needed. This removes the need to build duplicate questions across programs while also still customizing questions as needed for individual programs.
Reorder Prerequisites
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs that use Prerequisites and their participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
You can now reorder prerequisites by dragging and dropping.
WebAdMIT Enhancements
The following enhancements are available for WebAdMIT as part of Release 4.
Updated Interview Interface
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
When assigning Interview templates on a single applicant’s page, the list of available users to select from has an updated interface. Now the user names have checkboxes, which simplifies selecting multiple interviewers.
PDF Manager Templates Included in Transfer Settings
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
PDF Manager templates are now included in Transfer Settings. Remember to review your templates after the transfer to ensure the settings are carried forward correctly. Note that your PDF Manager template's lists, Work Groups, and panels (for full application PDFs scoped by panels) may be affected during the transfer, so you may need to update those items.
If you activate the Document Last Printed Date for a PDF Manager template, this feature is not automatically activated in the new cycle. Instead, you must update this in the new cycle.
Additionally, PDF Manager templates can be reordered on the PDF Manager page.
Program-specific Questions Included in Transfer Settings
This enhancement is automatically available for use by all CASs and participating programs. No action is required on the part of any association, school, or program. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
Program-specific questions built through the Configuration Portal are now included in Lists and Exports during Transfer Settings. The questions must exist in both the previous and new cycles in WebAdMIT. Whenever templates are transferred, you should always review them to ensure they are carried forward correctly and make updates as needed.
