Testing Your Data
Test Automated Delivery
Once the subscriptions are created, verify that the data files are being delivered to the correct directories in the Slate SFTP via the Slate SFTP Explorer in Slate Test. In Slate Test you will need to run Force Process Pickup from the Database to create the directories.
Once delivered to the SFTP, test that the files automatically load to the correct source format by running Force Process Import in the Database. Navigate to each source format and verify that the source file appears in the list of sources. Once the data file is imported and loaded to the source format, the CSV file will move from the /incoming/liaison/ folder to the /incoming/processed/liaison/ folder in the SFTP Explorer.
If the files appear in the SFTP Explorer but are not loading to the source format, check the following:
- Import path/mask on the Source Format does not need to change to accommodate Slate Test. The import path/mask should always start with /liaison/.
- Remap as of date on the Source Format is the date prior (or earlier) to when the file was received.
Test Data Mappings
In Slate Test, activate the source format.
After the source format is activated, go to Database and run Force Process Import to import the files. File processing (pickup and import) does not occur automatically in Slate Test.
Compare the data from CAS to the data appearing in Slate.
- Are person and application records being created?
- Is data importing as intended?
- Are all possible prompt values mapped?
If mappings need to be adjusted, we recommend you make the updates in Slate Production, refresh Slate Test, and then test the updates in Slate Test.
