Introduction
Othot is pleased to announce release 2022.3 of the Othot Platform. The release adds a variety of new features and enhancements, as well as significant improvements to overall performance and predictive capabilities.
New Features
Refining the experience and increasing the ease of getting to insights is a focus of each release. Many new features result from collecting direct feedback from our Partners and are useful for our entire community.
Intelligent Names
The newest solution by Liaison, Intelligent Names, segments and scores more than 250 million individuals’ key attributes to help colleges and universities identify and engage prospective adult learners. The Intelligent Names platform is designed to find adults interested in degree completion, supplemental education, professional advancement, and life-long learning.
New product enhancements have been made to allow for the delivery of purchased names in a more dynamic way. Purchased names are now available with the same experience as other Othot products. Analysis and dashboarding are available consistent with other product offerings. Customized and scheduled exporting of data needed for integration with other systems is available. And all data associated with names will be updated and available automatically.

Dashboard Improvements
Available now:
- Chart Library
As the collection of charts has grown with each release, it became more difficult to navigate the Add A Chart menu. Every Dashboard chart has been assigned a Category to help you quickly find the ones that are of interest to you. - Pareto Chart
Some of the most important metrics in Strategic Enrollment Management are interconnected, but measured differently, such as Net Tuition Revenue with Discount Rate. This new visualization type enables you to see both at the same time in a combination of columns and lines, each with their own y-axis labels. See it in action in Aid Analyzer, which can be found in the Strategize page.
Coming soon via Patch:
- Updated Forecast Calculations
The same charts used to project enrollment of students who have yet to apply or progress down the funnel have been updated with new formulae under the hood. Improvements include using multiple years of historical data and other proprietary functions to help you assess funnel health as soon as possible. - Tree Map Chart
More easily understand relative sizes of data categories that are color-coded, allowing for quick perception of the items that are large contributors to each category compared to their siblings in the same category.
Strategic Enhancements
The Strategize page has been improved by the following items:
- Predict Set Year/Term & Lifecycle Phase Selection
Each Strategy now gives you more control when specifying the cohort used to analyze and make decisions. Simply make your selections at the beginning of each available Strategy by answering a couple of quick questions. - Recruitment Category
New Strategies will be made available for the purpose of making Recruitment decisions, such as where to travel or which students to target, coming soon via patch.
User Experience Improvements and Other Enhancements
As with every release, some existing features have been improved or expanded as detailed below:
- Cache unfiltered Strategize content automatically after predictions
- Automatically generated What-If Analysis options in Strategize
Bug Fixes
Adding enhancements occasionally results in the introduction of software bugs. Our team has fixed as many issues as possible and gives top priority to user-reported problems. Here is a list of the more notable items addressed:
- Linear gauge chart visualization not displaying null/0 values correctly
- Grouped date fields in pivot not sorting chronologically
- Matrix constraint using Sum operator not returning Current value
- Matrix with negative incremental aid decisions not saving
- Individual page What-If options not updating with user phase selection
- Individual page waterfall visualization cut off from view
Next Release
