Configuring System Email Templates

Types of Email Tempates in Outcomes

In Outcomes, there are several types of email templates you can configure:

  • Standard email templates for applicants: typically used for common correspondence with applicants (e.g., for application updates, interview invitations, etc.)
  • Standard email templates for contacts: typically used for common correspondence with contacts (e.g., for event invitations, institution information, etc.)
  • Marketing email templates: used for coordinated emails in marketing campaigns (e.g., drive to apply, drive to complete application, etc.)
  • System email templates: used for automated, informational emails (e.g., account creations, password resets, etc.)

Standard email templates for applicants and contacts are each configured separately, but configuring them works the same way. Email templates emails in marketing campaigns are configured in the Marketing section. System email templates, where configurable, are seen in the System section of the Settings Menu.

Configuring System Email Templates

System email templates are typically used for routine, automated emails. These include new user invitations, Student Portal activations, password resets, and other notifications.

If your account allows you to manage these emails, you can do so by navigating to the System section of the Settings Menu and clicking Email Templates. From here, you can review and edit your existing templates.
