Overview
Applicants can use an existing account from a previous cycle to reapply in the current cycle. They also keep the same CAS ID number from the previous cycle. Applicants must meet certain requirements to be eligible as a reapplicant, including:
- Applicants must have been in the In Progress, Received, Complete, or Verified application statuses in the previous cycle.
- Applicants must have applied within three cycles. For example, an applicant can:
- Copy their application from the previous cycle to the next (for example, from the 2023–2024 cycle into the 2024–2025 cycle).
- Skip a cycle and copy their application (for example, from the 2022–2023 cycle into the 2024–2025 cycle).
- Skip several cycles between applications. However, application data is unavailable after three cycles of inactivity (for example, if the applicant last applied in the 2020–2021 cycle, they cannot copy their application into the 2024–2025 cycle).
To get started, applicants log in to the application (in the new cycle) and confirm they want to begin the reapplication process by clicking Start Reapplication. Then, they can choose to start a fresh application or copy data from their previous application.
If the Applicant Chooses to Start a Fresh Application
The data from the previous application cycle is wiped clean and they proceed with a blank application.
If the Applicant Chooses to Copy Application Data:
Applicants select the information they want to carry forward. It can take up to 24 hours for the selected data to copy, and they receive an email once the application is ready.
The following application information is transferred forward (note: depending on your CAS, some of these sections may not be applicable. Contact a member of your account team with any questions.):

Reapplicant Communications
If your CAS allows applicants to use an existing account from a previous cycle to reapply in the current cycle, then applicants are sent several emails, including:
- A Welcome email, similar to the one for new applicants.
- A notice that their application is being copied over from a previous cycle.
- A confirmation that the parts of the application they've chosen to carry forward are now in their new cycle's application.
