Technical Alert: Phishing Resistant MFA
Due to Salesforce’s updated security requirements, all privileged users (including all System Admins and those who have view or modify all data permissions on an object) must authenticate using a phishing-resistant MFA method beginning on June 22, 2026 for Sandbox environments and July 1, 2026 for Production Orgs. Because the TargetX Integration user is classified as a privileged user, this update is required to ensure that our user can maintain uninterrupted access into your Production Org.
To meet this requirement, we need you to enable passwordless login in Identity Verification to allow us and other privileged users to set up a phishing-resistant MFA login. Once this is enabled, any internal user may register for a passwordless login. This will not require all users to login via a passwordless login. However, your privileged users may choose to use this method to satisfy Salesforce’s requirement. This should not impact any existing SSO configuration. Please see the linked article above for additional details.
If you do not enable this, the TargetX tools will cease to work once the phishing resistant MFA requirement is placed on your Org. Additionally, Support and Premier Services will no longer be able to directly access your Org to troubleshoot or complete work on your behalf. The TargetX team will open either a Premier Services or Support case and work with each insitution individually to ensure that passwordless login is enabled and our user has retained access to your Org. We will begin opening these cases over the next several days and assign the case for your Org to the person Support or Premier works with most frequently.
If you have any questions during this process, please reach out via the forthcoming case for assistance.
