TargetX Address Doctor Configuration Overview

TargetX customers can:

  • Use the address verification service to verify addresses.
  • Use the email address verification service to verify email addresses.
  • Use the phone number validation service to validate phone numbers.

The address, email address, and phone number verification processes indicate whether the information in your CRM is valid. For Salesforce standard and custom objects, you can verify addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.

  • Addresses are validated as either postal-verified, deliverable, or not deliverable.
  • Email addresses are validated as valid, not valid, or malicious.
  • Phone numbers are validated to ensure your ability to connect.

Information can be validated when you create accounts, contacts, or leads creation page records. You can also run the Data as a Service (DaaS) batch job to verify the information of the existing Salesforce records.

A template is used to configure the settings for a DaaS batch job. You can choose to verify all the records in your organization or specify a subset of records based on the conditions that you configure in the template.

Address, Email Address, and Phone Number Verification Process

DaaS job is used to verify contact information. This job uses the address verification service to verify addresses, email address verification service to verify email addresses, and phone number validation service to validate the phone number. The DaaS job also uses service mappings to map the fields between the Salesforce and the DaaS fields.

The DaaS job template for the DaaS job is used to schedule the job and select the objects and the records you want to verify. You can create multiple instances of the job to verify records based on your requirements or specifications. Every record that the DaaS job processes are stored as a transaction entry in the EventQueue table.

The following image shows how the DaaS job verifies the contact information:
