Resolving Email Error Codes

Error Code Error Type Error Message
0 unknown Unidentified Error. Please contact support and provide the broadcast ID so we can investigate this issue. 
1001 Configuration This broadcast uses the followup feature, which has been deprecated. For instructions on restructuring this campaign, see: Setting up Drip Campaigns.
1002 Configuration This broadcast was previously scheduled, but no longer existed in your Salesforce instance when it came time to send.  If you deleted it, this is the expected behavior. If you feel this is in error, please contact support. 
1003 General This broadcast was not put on hold, but received a release request. Please contact support with this broadcast ID, as well as any broadcast IDs that you may have attempted to release recently.
1004 General This broadcast was processed while it was in a state other than 'Processing.' Please contact support with this broadcast ID so we can investigate.
1005 General We were unable to successfully update this broadcast in the database. Please contact support with the error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further. 
1006 General This broadcast is on hold, but we could not send you a release notification. Please contact support with the broadcast ID if you would like this released. 
2001 General We were unable to successfully update this campaign in the database. Please contact support with the error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further.
2002 Configuration This campaign is missing FromEmail, FromVanity, ReplyEmail, and/or ReplyVanity fields. For instructions on fixing this issue, click the following link. 
2003 Configuration This campaign was previously scheduled, but no longer existed in your Salesforce instance when it came time to send. If you deleted it, this is the expected behavior. If you feel this is in error, please contact support.
2004 Configuration The Exclude operator is currently unsupported for campaign activity queries. Please use Include with the specific campaigns you’re targeting.
2005 Configuration Campaign Vanity names do not support commas or semicolons.
3001 General The query for this campaign could not be parsed. Please contact support with the error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further. 
3002 General Your email configuration is missing the emails you'd like to send samples to while in testing. Please contact your implementation consultant with the email addresses you want to add. 
3003 General Your account is missing an internal configuration file. Please contact support and include this error code so we can update your record. 
3004 General Your account is missing an internal configuration file. Please contact support and include this error code so we can update your record. 
4001 General Your account is missing an internal configuration file. Please contact support and include this error code so we can update your record. 
5001 Configuration A dynamic content rule included in this email template does not have an operator defined. Please check all your dynamic content rules for this campaign and ensure that there are no missing operators.
6001 General The system was unable to build the query from your conditions. Please contact support with this error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further.
6002 General We encountered an error querying Salesforce to process this campaign. Please file a support ticket with this broadcast ID and the error code so we can investigate further. 
6003 Configuration The entry in the query_type__c field on this campaign is incorrect. Please set to one of the following options: C for query on contact, L for query on leads, or R for a report-based campaign. 
6004 Configuration The query on this campaign did not save correctly. Please edit and re-save this query to resolve this problem. If you're still encountering problems, please file a support ticket with this broadcast ID and the error code so we can investigate further.
6005 Configuration The query on this campaign did not save correctly. Please edit and re-save this query to resolve this problem. If you're still encountering problems, please file a support ticket with this broadcast ID and the error code so we can investigate further.
7001 Configuration We were unable to download this report. This is usually caused by a temporary Salesforce connection problem. If this is a recurring error on this campaign, please contact support with the campaign ID and the error code so we can investigate further. 
7002 Configuration The first column in your report is neither a Contact nor Lead ID. Please rearrange the columns in your report to put one of those first in order to fix this campaign. 
7003 Configuration This broadcast attempted to use the task object, but Task ID is not included in your report. Please edit your report to include this ID to fix this issue.
7004 Configuration We encountered an error retrieving this report from Salesforce. Please check that the report is valid and still linked to the campaign. If this campaign has multiple broadcast failures with this message, please contact support and include the error code and campaign ID so we can investigate further. 
7005 Configuration This campaign is missing its Report ID. Please edit this campaign, re-add the report if necessary, and re-save to resolve this issue. 
7006 Configuration We detected a discrepancy between the recipients displayed on the report in your CRM and the number of recipients we retrieved when processing this broadcast. We stopped processing to make sure we don’t send to an unexpected population. This is usually a temporary error, and the next broadcast in the campaign should run as normal.

Additional information/steps:
  • If the date filter in the report uses Last Activity All Time change it to Created Date All Time, as Contacts without Activity records can cause a discrepancy.
  • The report may have Unique Count filtered on the report, which is not supported.
  • A summary or aggregation has been added to the report and needs to be removed.
  • We are unable to download the report. This is likely because the report is too complex or much too large. Try to open the report in Salesforce and then test out downloading it. If you can NOT download the report or takes to long, this means it will time out on our server and you should break the report down.
  • Salesforce processed the report incorrectly when exporting it to TargetX, and the given count doesn’t actually match the row count. Typically, the next time this campaign runs, it will correct itself.
7013 Configuration We were unable to download this report. This is usually caused by a temporary Salesforce connection problem. It will be automatically retried. If you see this error more than 3 hours after time_scheduled, please contact support with this broadcast ID and error code so we can investigate further.
8001 Configuration You are near your API limit with Salesforce, and we throttled this broadcast to ensure we don't exceed the limit. If this campaign is set up so that the next broadcast will pick up these recipients, you do not need to take action. If you need this broadcast reset, please contact support with the broadcast ID. 
8002 General Our integration user was unable to connect to your org. Please contact support so we can update the credentials. 
8003 General Salesforce was down for maintenance at the time this broadcast was scheduled. Please contact Support with this broadcast ID if you would like it restarted. 
8004 General This broadcast timed out while trying to build the query. It will be automatically retried. If you see this error more than 3 hours after time_scheduled, please contact support with this broadcast ID and error code so we can investigate further.
9001 Configuration This campaign is trying to use a merge field or dynamic content block that references an object that does not exist in your org. Please ensure that all fields and blocks reference valid objects. If all objects appear present, please contact support with this broadcast ID and error code so we can investigate further. 
9002 General The system could not parse the structure of one of the objects used in this campaign's merge fields or dynamic content blocks. Please contact support with this error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further. 
9003 General The system could not parse the structure of one of the objects used in this campaign's merge fields or dynamic content blocks. Please contact support with this error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further. 
9004 General The template attached to this broadcast references a field that doesn't seem to exist. Please double-check your merge fields and ensure that all fields are present on your objects and that all merge fields are spelled and structured correctly.
9005 Configuration The template attached to this campaign is attempting to use an Org Event merge field, which is unsupported. Please use Contact Schedule Items instead.
10001 Configuration The template attached to this campaign is attempting to use an Org Event merge field, which is unsupported. Please use Contact Schedule Items instead.
10002 Configuration The template attached to this campaign cannot be found. Please ensure the template still exists and is in a public folder. 
11001 General We were unable to successfully update this campaign in the database. Please contact support with the error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further. 
12001 Configuration The template attached to this campaign uses the deprecated Contact.OwnerFullName merge field. Please edit this template to use Contact.OwnerFirstName + Contact.OwnerLastName. Please see the article Updating Owner Full Name for a bulk method to do this update.
13001 Configuration This broadcast failed to send to all recipients. Please confirm all email addresses in your seed list are valid, as that is the most likely cause of this issue. If all seed addresses are valid, please contact support with the error code and broadcast ID so we can investigate further.
13002 General This broadcast failed to send to all intended recipients. Please contact support if you would like it restarted.
13003 General This broadcast was sent to 0 recipients but was not marked Complete as expected. No action is needed, as no emails were missed.
14001 General The test message was not found in the database.
14002 General The test message progress was set to an invalid progress other than requested.
15001 General Our integration user was unable to connect to your org. We will retry this broadcast for up to three hours after the scheduled time. If you still see this message after that, please contact support with this broadcast ID so we can investigate this issue.
