Troubleshooting Event Reminder Emails that are not sending

Is the Event Reminder Email Job running?

Reminder emails are delivered via a batch apex job configured via Events Custom Settings. If the job is not running, the emails will not be sent.

  1. To check the batch job, append /apex/targetx_eventsb__eventssettings to the base URL of your Org.

For example, https://naXX.salesforce.com/apex/tar...eventssettings

  1. If you see "Job is not running", please click the Start Job button

Is your Template marked as 'Available for Use'?

Your Event Email Template must be marked as Available for Use. To verify:

  1. Navigate to Setup and search for Email Templates.
  2. Select the Event Email Templates folder.
  3. Click the Template that you are expecting to send.
  4. Verify that Available for Use is checked.

Is the Org-Wide Email Address Verified?

Email reminders are sent using the organization-wide email address specified for the event. These email addresses must be verified to ensure they are authentic and can receive email.

  1. Navigate to Setup and search for Organization-Wide Addresses
  2. Find the email address you use for your event reminders in the list and confirm it says Verified in the Status column.
    1. If it is not verified, click to resend the verification email, at which point you will need to open the email delivered to the address and click to verify it.

Is the Org-Wide Email Address set to "All Profiles"?

In addition to being a verified email address, the Org-Wide email must also be visible to all profiles to ensure deliverability.

  1. Navigate to Setup and search for Organization-Wide Addresses
  2. Find the email address you are using for your event reminders in the list
    • Under Allowed Profiles, check that it is set to All Profiles
    • If not, click Edit and change the access to All Profiles
