New Appointment Scheduler Student-facing Experience FAQ

Does this replace the legacy Appointment Scheduler?

Yes, this update replaces the legacy Appointment Scheduler and will be available in the July ‘23 Events package. As always, we strongly recommend installing new packages in your sandbox and getting used to the new features before installing in your production org.

The update does not require any licensing changes. The update does not impact how students access the Appointment Scheduler. All staff availability remains the same without any changes required.
Will my existing links/URLs for accessing Appointment Scheduler still work?

Yes, the new version is a single-page app, and existing links and URLs navigating to the Appointment Scheduler will still automatically be redirected.

All Appointment Scheduler URLs will be based on the following format:
  • https://<<CommunityURL>>/targetx_eventsb__myappointments
URL parameters currently used to pre-filter and restrict appointment options will continue to work.
Will my CSS customizations still work?

CSS customization will no longer be supported in the Appointment Scheduler. Instead, School logos will be managed as Static Resources on the Community Theme record:

Rectangular desktop logo = 160px width by 40px height Square desktop logo (optional) = 48px width by 48px height Rectangular mobile logo = 160px width by 40px height File types: SVG will yield the best result, but PNG files are also supported

CSS customization (e.g. banner images, button colors) will still be supported on the community login and registration pages.
