Updating Picklist Values for Appointment Scheduler
Several picklists are used in the Appointment Scheduler and should be updated with values that match your business needs:
- Navigate to Setup and Search for Object Manager.
- Click the User object:
- Click Fields & Relationships.
- Click each field below, navigate to the Values section, and add New, Reorder, or Replace the values you will need:
- Admin Departments: Add the departments using Appointment Scheduler. This allows filtering by department on the Appointment Calendar and is also used for delegating access. Additionally, this field controls visibility across departments on the Appointment Calendar beyond the one assigned in the Main Department field.
- Main Department: Add the departments using Appointment Scheduler. This value determines what is matched when a student tries to schedule an appointment. It refers to the primary department for which the user will book the appointment.
- Appointment Reasons: Add reasons for Meeting that students will select when they schedule an appointment. The system will match the reason the student chooses with the Users with these reasons. For example, if Advisor A can meet about Transcript Evaluations when the student selects Transcript Evaluations during scheduling, only Users with this appointment reason will be considered when they Search.
- Click the Appointment Time Range object:
- Click Fields & Relationships
- Click each field below, navigate to the Values section, and add New, Reorder, or Replace the values you will need:
- Location: add Building, Room number, Office Number, etc.
- Click the Organization Event object:
- Click Fields & Relationships
- Click each field below, navigate to the Values section, and add New, Reorder, or Replace the values you will need:
- Appointment Reason: Add reasons for Meeting that students will select when they schedule an appointment. The system will match the reason the student selects with the Users that have these reasons. For example, if Advisor A can meet about Transcript Evaluations, when the student selects Transcript Evaluations during scheduling, only Users with this appointment reason will be considered when they Search.
- Cancellation Reason: Add reasons for Cancelling an Appointment that students will select when they cancel an appointment.
- Time Zone: add the Time Zones available for Appointments.
- Location: add Building, Room number, Office Number, etc.
