Technical Alert: Twilio A2P 10DLC Registration Impacting TX SMS

Twilio’s deadline for A2P 10DLC registration updates is this week. They have been sending direct communications regarding this update since the summer of 2022. The A2P 10DLC registration process is a legally-required process that is out of TargetX’s control, and applies to all senders of SMS messages. 

If you have not yet completed this registration, you may begin seeing negative impact to your SMS message deliverability. This article from Twilio outlines how to determine the registration status for your sending numbers. 

SMS messages sent from numbers that have not been properly registered will be blocked by Twilio beginning on August 31, 2023; unregistered numbers will see increased fees from mobile carriers.
