Creating the Retention Settings tab

These steps should only be needed on the initial installation of Retention. They should not need to be repeated when upgrading Retention. Custom Tab(s) for the following area will be delivered via the TargetX Retention (managed) package after Salesforce Security Review process is complete.

  1. Navigate to Setup and search for Tabs.
  2. Under Visualforce Tabs section, select New.
  3. In the Visualforce Page list, select Retention Settings.
  4. Enter a Tab Label as Retention Settings.
  5. Tab through to create and accept the default Tab Name.
  6. Select a Tab Style.
  7. Select Next.
  8. Under Add to Profiles, select which Profiles should display the new tab.
  9. Select Next.
  10. Under Add to Custom Apps, indicate which Apps should include the new tab.
  11. Select Save.
  12. Navigate to the new tab. 
  13. If no record currently exists, you will be prompted to create a new record. Select Create Default Setting.
  14. Enter criteria for each filter:
  • 'Filter' example criteria: CreatedDate>=LAST_N_DAYS:90
  • 'Financial Hold' example criteria: TgtX_Retention__Category__c = 'Financial' AND TgtX_Retention__Closed_Released__c = FALSE
  1. Save your changes.
