Customize Picklists and Page Layouts for Retention. 

Customizing Picklists

Academic Periods object

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the Academic Period object.
  3. Click Fields & Relationships.
  4. Click the picklist you want to edit, such as Type.
  5. Locate the Values section and Edit, Delete, Deactivate, or Add values to meet your business needs.

Academic Profile object

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the Academic Profile object.
  3. Click Fields & Relationships.
  4. Click the picklist you want to edit, such as Type.
  5. Locate the Values section and Edit, Delete, Deactivate, or Add values to meet your business needs.

Course object

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the Course object.
  3. Click Fields & Relationships.
  4. Click the picklist you want to edit.
  5. Locate the Values section and Edit, Delete, Deactivate, or Add values to meet your business needs.

Course Attendance object

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the Course Attendance object.
  3. Click Fields & Relationships.
  4. Click the picklist you want to edit.
  5. Locate the Values section and Edit, Delete, Deactivate, or Add values to meet your business needs.

Advising object

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the Advising object.
  3. Under the Fields & Relationships section, select and customize the picklist values for the following fields:
  • Category
  • Subcategory (if desired)
  • Type
  • Subtype (if desired)
  • Service Centers
  1. For each picklist above, apply the values to the desired Record Types.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Shared Picklist Fields for Category, Subcategory, Type, Subtype

Note: The Advising object includes the following Record Types (by default). Picklists must be assigned to each record type - per your institution needs.

Success Team Members object

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the Success Team Member object.
  3. Click Fields & Relationships.
  4. Click the picklist you want to edit, such as Type.
  5. Locate the Values section and Edit, Delete, Deactivate, or Add values to meet your business needs.

Relationship object

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the Relationship object [TargetX_Base__Relationship__c].
  3. Click Fields & Relationships.
  4. Click the picklist you want to edit, such as Type.
  5. Locate the Values section and Edit, Delete, Deactivate, or Add values to meet your business needs.

Page Layouts

When customizing your Page Layouts, be sure to review Related List layouts, List View Layouts, and Search Layouts. Pre-defined configurations for these areas are delivered by the TargetX Retention CRM. However, these areas should be reviewed with the customer for confirmation or further customizations based on institutional needs and support data/information

Key objects to review include:

  • Academic Period object
  • Contact object
  • Academic Profile object
  • Courses object
  • Advising object
  • Success Team object

For each object above:

  1. Navigate to Setup and select Object Manager.
  2. Select the object name.
  3. Under Page Layouts, select Edit for each page layout delivered by either the Retention or TargetX Base Package package install.
  4. Review the page layouts and make customizations - per your institution needs.
