Reviewing and Configuring SSC Scores

TargetX Retention CRM and Student Success Center (SSC) delivers three (3) Student Score fields.
These score fields display prominently in the Student Success Center and convey at-a-glance information to campus professionals on each of the three respective areas:

  1. Academic score
  2. Engagement score
  3. Financial score

These scores are pre-configured and delivered in the Retention Toolkit (unmanaged package) and can be customized to meet your institution’s needs. Each score will render a numeric value between 1 - 10, where 10 is Excellent and 1 is Poor.

Note: When the Formula Field evaluates to 0, you will see a Red box with 0. When the Value is NULL, it will render as a Dash and not Red.

These scores start with a default value of 10. In other words, by default, these scores assume a successful student.

These scores then leverage the information in the TargetX Retention CRM to apply weighted point deduction(s) - when information indicates an alert or concern is raised.

Update the appropriate profile(s) to include the following Contact field-level permissions:

  1. (Required) Contact Object - Fields mapped in Student Success Preferences for (Engagement, Academic, and Financial)
  2. (Optional) Contact Object - Action Items - Open (RollUp) (delivered by Retention Toolkit) (Read Access only if you are using Action Items).

You MUST configure both the Retention permissions outlined in the Permission Viewer AND the Student Success Center permissions. Additionally, the following permissions are required:

  • Users need at least READ access to the 'Retention Email Templates' folder.
  • Users need READ access to the defined contact profile fields.
  • Users need READ access to the defined score fields.

For additional, general information about each Score, see Scorecard.

For more detailed information on these Score formulas fields delivered by the Retention Toolkit (unmanaged package), see Retention Implementation: Retention Score Fields.
