Setting up Alerts and Kudos for Faculty Early Alerts

The Alerts/Kudos tab enables you to define the Alerts and Kudos that Faculty members can assign. You should first Define Categories and Types for your Kudos and Alerts.

Add Kudos in Faculty Alert Settings

  1. In the Kudos section, click the Add Kudos link.
  2. Select a Category.
  3. Optional: Select an associated Type.
  4. Make sure Category and Type combinations are unique.
  5. If the Student should receive an email notification when the Kudo is added, click the Notify Student toggle.
  6. If Notify Student is selected, CC Faculty will display. If selected, a copy of the notification will also be sent to the Faculty member.
    • Select an Email Template for the email sent to the Student.
    • Select a From Email Address of either Faculty or one of the available Org-Wide Email addresses.

Note: Ensure that the selected Org-wide Email Address is set to ‘Allow All Profiles to Use this From Address.’

  1. If you want the Kudo to be created as Closed, click the Closed toggle.
  2. Indicate a Priority for the Kudo.
  3. Click Add.

Add Alerts in Faculty Early Alert Settings

  1. In the Alerts section, click the Add Alert link.
  2. Select a Category.
  3. Optional: Select an associated Type.
  4. If the Student should receive an email notification when the Alert is added, click the Notify Student toggle.
  5. If Notify Student is selected, CC Faculty will display. If selected, a copy of the notification will also be sent to the Faculty member.
    • Select an Email Template for the email sent to the Student.

Note: You can use a different template for each Alert reason and include content and a Call to Action for the Alert, such as ‘Click here to schedule an appointment with your Advisor.’

Note: Ensure that the selected Org-wide Email Address is set to ‘Allow All Profiles to Use this From Address.’

  1. If you want the Alert to be created as Closed, click the Closed toggle.
  2. Indicate a Priority for the Alert.
  3. Click Add.
